Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the Montana TEA blog focused on service learning. Let's start with an easy question so you can learn how to make comments on a blog post. You will be amazed at how much you have learned by the end of your six weeks.
What event or events have made you smile since you arrived in the United States for TEA?
Lesa
All the food which I ate here in the states is really different from the Egyptian food that smiled me lot
ReplyDeleteEverybody smiles with good food :)
DeleteDiana did you like the food?
DeleteAlways! This is my favorite food...
Delete...free food! :)
Hello everybody.
ReplyDeleteWatching the snow in the street right outside Helena's Airport was a lifetime moment, especially because it does not snow in my country.
Something else that made me smile was definitely to meet and talk to the children at Bozeman Public High School's. To see and hear them speak English so naturally is always such a nice thing.
I am sure that more nice moments will come along.
What made me smile was definitely the snow. And of course, my new friends make me smile all the time as well.
ReplyDeleteReally its very thrilling experience to meet new people especially when the temperature is running below the sneezing oops! ............the freezing point!
Deleteja!ja!ja!ja!
Frozen fellows!
Deletehi!
ReplyDeleteWhat always makes me smile since I arrived to the US is how easily people relate to you in the street or in shops, how easily they open up and start telling jokes or telling you about their lives. This is something that makes me feel at home and welcomed in a country with which I have been in love for long.
I totally agree, Asmaa!
DeleteI have the same opinion,Asmaa! I`m absolutely amazed at that!
DeleteOne thing that made me smile was my roommate's first encounter with the snow! You should have seen her face!!!
ReplyDeletefor those who don't know who my roommate is, I address this extra info to them. My roommate is Diana Garcia from Guatemala!
DeleteIt was hilarious! Thank you for taking photos of me taking off the snow from my back :)
DeleteOne of the things that have made smile since I arrived in the United States was to visit very famous places in Washington DC like the Lincoln monument, the capitol, the white house, experiences that I will never forget, and of course will always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteMaria Elizabeth
I had an experience in Washington DC that really made me smile.I was walking along a street when a guy that was ahead of me turned round to me and said,'How do you like my glasses?" I was taken aback and did not how to respond to it.It was really funny!
ReplyDeletereally funny but you didn't tell us did you like the glasses or not.
DeleteI didn`t even have time to look at them.I was so surprised!
DeleteWas he handsome?
DeleteToday's lunch with the Indian Tacos and Jioanna Carjuzaa after the Multicultural Foundation Panel is one of the events that made me smile. I could not help than smile when Ismail said, 'this is the best meal I've had since I arrived'. lol
ReplyDeleteThat is the only thing that made you smile?
DeleteI liked it too but it is definitely not the best meal I have had :)

DeleteThe only thing that made me smile while being in the United states during my 10 days is that when Mr.Poland (MR.Andrews) cracks a joke.
ReplyDeleteMr Poland is definitely funny.
DeleteIn fact the driver who picked us up on our arrival to the Hellena Airport on 4th Jan., 2012. He was really interesting and wonderful at making people laugh and at home. He made me go beyond smiling because I laughed all the way. Hope to meet the great comedian (He said so) again.
ReplyDeleteI liked him too but I just heard a couple of jokes and then slept like a baby the whole way to the hotel.
DeleteTaking group pictures: 20 people saying "cheese" in front of 20 cameras 20 times makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteThe free time that we get when we got stocked at Wshington
ReplyDelete...and we lost Ingrid!
DeleteFatima makes me smile, and the whole group is really great
ReplyDeleteThe funniest thing is how after lunch fellows close their eyes and nearly fall asleep during the classes. WHY? Jelena, Lithuania.
