Arun's Video - Food Bazaar

the Food Bazaar

the native american music and dance, a real beauty!

Diana's post

The food bazar was a huge success! (so I've heard). This image belongs to Asmaa because I was unable to attend due to health issues. In this picture, the brazilian guests were offering their traditional dishes with a smile. It was a great opportunity to enjoy not only food but get to know traditions and even make new friends. My roommate Nicoleta, from Rumania, told me in detail what a huge success it had been. The organization and quality of the food was outstanding and everybody had fun. Volunteering for this type of activities is a great opportunity to learn not only about other cultures but about ourselves and self-reflect about what I have to offer to my community and my country. I am disappointed I missed it, I look forward to enjoying further activities like the food bazar.

I hope that everybody gets a chance to go and that you ll enjoy yourselves!

Thanks Asmaa!

Here are my two questions
What did you enjoy most about volunteering at the food bazaar?

Assignment #3

Group Leaders (Asmaa, Tatiana, & Elias) -
Please develop a question and post it to the blog in your IT class on Thursday, Feb. 16th.  It would be great if your question pertained to the food bazaar on Saturday; the food bazaar is one of the service learning activities.  Your fellow participants will answer this question next Tuesday.

Sample questions include:
What did you enjoy most about volunteering at the food bazaar?
What did you learn from MSU international students at the food bazaar?

You can make up your own question too!

Assignment #1 (Thursday, Feb. 9th)

Hi TEA Participants!

Today

1.  Please respond to the first question posted on Jan. 30th.  Please also make comments on other TEA participant's posts.

2.  If you are a group leader, you will work with the other group leaders and post a question about service learning.  You may choose your own or choose one of the examples below.
a.  Have you been involved in service learning (or volunteering in an educational setting) prior to coming to the United States?  If so, how?
b.  Which service learning activity did you choose?  Are you looking forward to your activity? If yes, why?
If you are a group leader, you do not need to answer the Jan. 30th question, please use this time to work with the other group leaders to choose a question to post.
